Some Like It Hot (1959)
This cute little romance is about two ladies’ men — who also happen to be musicians (Lemmon and Curtis) who are on the run after witnessing a violent crime.They dress as women and join an all-girl band to escape being caught in the clutches of the mob.They meet up with Sugar Kane (Monroe), a “tonic’ drinking member of the band. Curtis falls in love with Monroe, and the results are both funny and romantically sweet.
Roman Holiday (1953)
Starring Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, this story of an overwhelmed, bored and sheltered princess who escapes her guardians and falls in love with an American newsman in Rome is a wonderfully funny, romantic tale.
Casablanca (1942)
